Protecting personal data is very important to us. The purpose of this document is to introduce you to all the information related to the processing of your personal data when you use the pelek.fi online store. Definitions. For clarity and ease of understanding, the concepts frequently used in these personal data processing principles are mentioned:

1. Basic information
Your personal data is collected through the online store pelek.fi; and/or directly from us. In both cases, we may act as the data controller. If your personal data is processed in the online store pelek.fi;, read their personal data processing principles.
We process the following personal data about you:
— first name and last name, contact information (especially email, phone number), address;
— billing information and bank details (information necessary for maintaining accounting);
— information you provide to us in the context of communication (especially your questions and our responses to your questions, communication with you).
We do not process special categories of personal data.
2. For what purpose do we process personal data and what is the basis for processing
2.1 Fulfillment of the contractual relationship and related legal obligations. The basis for processing personal data is the fulfillment of the purchase agreement and related obligations (delivery of products, maintenance of accounting, handling of complaints, or if you exercise your legal right to return products within the specified time). We process your first name and last name, contact information (residential and delivery address, email, and phone number), and possibly other billing information. Personal data is processed for the duration of the contractual relationship and afterwards 4 years after its termination (this is because we want to retain some personal data related to the purchase agreement to protect our interests). We are legally obligated to archive accounting and tax documents. The retention period for this data can be up to 10 years from the end of the taxable period in which the performance took place. If necessary for delivery and payment, the personal data we collect will be transferred to an authorized transport company or an authorized credit institution.
2.2 Card payment. If you provide us with your payment card details, we do not have access to the complete information. We only know that you are paying by card, and the card details are processed by those recipients who handle the payment on our behalf.
2.3 Order processing. To process your order, we also collaborate with other service providers (shipping companies and others) who assist us in fulfilling contracts. We will transfer your data to these partners only to fulfill the obligations of the purchase agreement.
2.4 Communication with customer support, complaints, or other inquiries. If you have contacted us, we will process your personal data based on your consent for the purpose of handling your inquiry or complaint. We may process the following personal data about you: first name, last name, phone number, email, order details. Questions and complaints handled through customer support are regularly deleted, no later than 4 years after the inquiry or complaint has been processed.
2.5 Reviews. Customer feedback is important to us. We publish reviews if you give us consent (review of the specific product or service). We may process the following personal data about you: first name, last name, email, order details. Based on your consent, we will also process photos and personal data that are part of the review text. Reviews are retained as long as your consent is valid, but for a maximum of 5 years.
2.6 Customer reviews. You can share your purchasing experience and rate individual products. We may use other processors when evaluating your feedback on a specific purchased product.
2.7 Legal obligations. We may disclose personal data to third parties if required by law or in response to lawful requests from authorities or court requests in legal proceedings.
2.8 Age restriction. For products with age restrictions, we check whether you have reached the required minimum age in accordance with applicable laws. For this purpose, we use an identification service that allows us to verify your age.
2.9 Digital products. If the product contains digital elements or digital products, we process the information you provided during the order.
3. Communication
3.1 Emails we may send. In connection with the sale of our products or services, we may send emails to customers related to:

4. Processors
Your personal data may be disclosed to our business partners (processors) or other third parties if required by law.
We only use reliable processors with whom we have a written agreement, and who provide at least the same level of guarantees as we do for you. These are only processors that are from the European Union or countries that have been declared and recognized as safe, or countries with which we have valid standard contractual clauses in accordance with Article 46 of the GDPR and which provide a level of protection for your personal data comparable to that of the GDPR and Czech legislation. All of these processors are obliged to maintain confidentiality and may not use the provided personal data for purposes other than those for which we have provided them in accordance with these principles.

Where can we contact you? Write to us at the email address info@pelek.fi, or at the address where we are located.
When will we address it? We will respond to you within a month at the latest. If providing the information would jeopardize the privacy of other individuals or if providing the information would be unreasonably risky or costly, we may not be able to comply with your request. In the case of a repeated request, the data controller has the right to charge a reasonable fee for a copy of the personal data.
— Right of access. Confirmation of whether we are processing your personal data. Information on the purposes of processing, categories of personal data, recipients to whom the data has been disclosed, duration of processing, existence

— Right to rectification. Request the rectification of inaccurate personal data.
— Right to erasure. If there is no other reason to process this data, we will completely delete or anonymize the data you requested.
— Right to restriction of processing. If you believe that we are processing your data incorrectly - regardless of the reasons or extent of processing, please let us know.
— Right to request rectification, erasure, or restriction of processing. If you contact us with a request, we will inform you of the outcome unless it is impossible (e.g., the email address from which you wrote to us no longer works).
— Right to data portability. We can provide you with the data you have provided in a structured and machine-readable format upon your request to another data controller.
— Right to object. If we process your data based on legitimate interest (e.g., sending newsletters). We must prove our legitimate interest; if you grant us the right, we will cease this processing.
— Right to withdraw consent. If you have changed your mind, write to us. Processing for marketing and business purposes can be completely withdrawn at any time.
— Automated individual decision-making including profiling. You have the right not to be subject to any decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, which significantly affects you legally or otherwise. We respect your rights, so we do not engage in profiling.
